    Stripping Alyuminiumum Sill Plates...

I have some corrosion starting to creep under a couple corners of my door sill plates. Can you strip these with oven cleaner and polish the living hell out of them like you can with exterior trim? Also, if this is possible, I am probably going to destroy the beautiful ford emblem, aren't I?

:bump: Seriously, nobody has ever done/tried this? I'm concerned about screwing them up...

never tried.......they are thin aluminum, might end up polishing right thru them after you get the corrosion off.......ford emblem prob wont stay on either
