    Push Bar?

I know this has been talked about a couple times before.... But i want to buy or make a push bar for my Vic. I want just the basic push bar that protects the grill itself, and maybe mount some lights on it.. Here is my ? how far off the top of the bumper does the top of the PI push bars sit? and how wide are they? i assume just a couple inches inside the rubber bumper pads that come factory.....
I was thinkin making it look something like this.....

under the factory bumper i would have a place to hook a rope or chain to just in case i need to get pulled out of the snow, or for many other things....

Go to your local junkyard and find a truck pushbar, then just modify it to fit your bumper. That's how I built the deer tenderizer for Donald's car, only I used two pushbars from two different trucks to build one for his station wagon.

If you aren't in a big hurry I can measure up the nos one I put on the Hillbilly suv.

In the mean time, here are some pics... The 89 front end isn't all that different. It should give you an idea of what the original ones looked like.

Here is a vid of my car, there is a bit of a closeup around 1:35 but sadly, no real side views.

The pic in ur sig is what gave me the idea. I'm not in a big hury at all. If u could measure from the top of the bumper, to the very top of it, and the overall width, that would be sweet. After lookin at ur car closer, the bar I drew up is too tall, if I shortened it a bit I think it would look good. Thanks in advance for the measurments.
