Hood liner looks mint on the Marq. Is that original???? I am looking for one to install. I see one on ebay but am a bit timid.

No Dave, it is not the factory one. There is a guy, on EBAY, from Virginia I think. I believe he gets them from a company in Pa. IIRC. If you need additional info I'll look back at my receipts and let you know! Bobby

Looks to be the same. The name I ordered from was "Class-Tech-Cars" and the email was "jackjilli@aol.com". I ordered a little over one year ago so I am working from memory. Let me know if you get what you need. The hood liner I got was well made and THICK! Bobby

If the one you get is like mine you will be more than happy as I am one picky SOB! I would also invest in the clips as yours may or may not be reuseable.

Well upon further inspection that seller (the one you mentioned) only sells it for the marquis and Town Cars.....I guess I will give the link I posted a shot?

Would the CV not have the same inside hood dimensions as the GM?

I think it would be nearly identical...I am also a bit scared because Mercury also had a vehicle named a Marquis....though in the ebay ad for the people you mentioned it list the liner from 79 to 86(7) which would be the run of the Grand Marquis......

Not sure of the "fitment" between CV's, GM's and Town Cars for the same or surrounding years. My "guess" is there is little or no difference. Call the guy up as I found him VERY helpful!

I purchased a hood-liner for my '79 TC from CTC last year. I haven't got around to removing the old hood-liner, so no pics yet...
