If I have to replace the front window motors again, I will attempt to rebuild them instead. Replaced them twice since I got the CV.

        wrong window motors ordered

The shop discovered that the window motors ordered are for '92+ CV's. They'll have to be sent back...My CV will be going into storage shortly after the inspection is complete!

          almost ready!

I called for an up-date today. The proper window motors have been installed. They were working on the exhaust today. I should have my CV back by the end of the week. There's 10 cm's of snow in the forecast for Saturday...Thankfully, my storage garage is located two driveways down!

            ready to go

I'm gonna try to finish work early tomorrow and rush over to pick her up. The bill is going to be over $600 though...They had to JB weld the exhaust (small leak) because the replacement section was impossible to find. I'll have to visit an exhaust shop in the future, when it starts to leak again.

Any exhaust shop should have no problem making a section.

                It snowed a bit yesterday...

I'm waiting until next weekend for storage...Kevin's Tercel is getting an alignment this coming week, so I'll need to have my CV available until that's done.

I got the Walker stock dual exhaust, it's cheap stuff. I don't expect it to last long but for the price it wasn't bad, and with just cats it sounds fairly beefy and performs worlds better than stock single.

The paint on the hood and trunk is starting to fade. I assume the previous owner had these areas repainted at some point.

Maybe, but not uncommon for older silver cars to fade like that.

Going into the shop next week. Needs an oil-change and the fan looked at. When my friend was practicing parallel parking, she backed over one of the tall pilons. It became wedged underneath the car... Ever since then, there's been a slight chattering sound. The fan might be making contact with the shroud. We shall see...

I got the CV back on Sat. Work order:

                                oil-change
                                fuel-filter
                                inspect belts/serpentine belt replaced
                                inspect hoses
                                inspect fan

Mechanic's notes: Fan is making slight contact with the shroud.

I'm not gonna lose sleep over it because there's no damage.
