HillbillySUV the MOVIE... (In other words I finally bought a camera)

Shot on my new 60$ Kmart special camera.
    Enjoy...

A few comments I'd like to make.

#1 The house we are buying is the same house I grew up in.
#2 The antenna tower is 40ft tall, and yes I intend to use it.
#3 The messy wiring laying on top of the battery is something I temporarily tossed together for my electric fans.
#4 I completely forgot to mention my fans and the 3g upgrade.
#5 It has been a long time since I worked in radio, and it REALLY shows in how I narrate this vid.
#6 I make too many comments

Thanks for all the positive comments mangs!

About that old antenna tower, my Dad was a radio nut. He used to collect qsl cards from around the world of an antenna about 10' from the top of that thing. He had a couple of nice radios, but he kept coming back to an old Heathkit radio he built himself.

Wow, I never noticed before now that you converted the wagon to 5 speed manual, I guess I don't pay attention to sigs well. The wagon is surprizingly quiet for catless duals and glasspacks, what type do you have on there?

The vid was awesome, nicely done.

Also, what is the advantage to a dual battery setup? Why not just upgrade the alt/starter/ignition and get a battery with more cranking amps?

Once again, thanks for all the positive comments.

                      To answer some questions:

Yeah, the dash pad is toast. I have been looking for a bargain but it looks like I might have to bite the bullet, and buy one of those plastic dash caps from JC whitney.

The trick with glasspacks is to get them LONG. Mine are 48" long. Still loud enough to sound good, but not obnoxious.

The reason I went with the dual battery setup was my seemingly never ending list of battery/charging problems. My previous work truck ate a few alternators and batteries. My "new" (2006 with 126k miles on it now) has had 4 alternators and 5 (or was it 6?) batteries. My wifes car ate a battery this winter. (she kept forgetting to turn off her XM radio) Add to that, two bad alternators on the wagon prior to the 3g conversion, and a dead battery to that shortly thereafter. 2007 was the year of never ending electrical problems. LOL!

You can see why I wanted one vehicle that would start no matter what!
The funny thing is since I put it in, I've only needed to drag out the jumper cables one time.

Also there is something satisfying about being able to jump start a diesel truck... especially if it's your friends chebby.
