That's an awesome Lincoln!!! When I was younger I wanted to buy a big barge like that. It would make a really nice cruiser/long hauler.

The seats are VERY comfortable. My back never gets sore after driving...The '92 CV I owned a few years back, had seats with poor lumbar-support.

painting the deck-lid

There are two rust-holes. I did some sanding and then painted the top part of the deck-lid flat black. I'll paint the rest of it tomorrow, weather permitting...

I hear ya, I would be repairing/rust-proofing that deck-lid too. It would be pretty hard to find another in good shape.

I'd be able to find a Mark V deck-lid easily because of my friend Steve. Unfortunately, he doesn't have any Town Car's...

I finished painting the deck-lid this evening. Musquitoes were on my case the whole time...

I know that feeling all too well, working outside here in the south. I usually have to wear Pants and a long sleeve shirt out there during the evening hours of the summer time, to keep from getting severely eaten up.

I don't know with painting, but when I'm working on the vehicles outside in the evening, I bring a small fan out with me to blow the mosquitos away.
