That's not a bad spot for gauges. If there was a generic pod/gauge holder that turned the gauges toward the driver like the OEM, I would rather have that than looking down below the dash where they usually mount.

Oh, and the attention to detail with that car is f'n amazing

Me too Scott. Unfortunately the MSD cap and rotor kit arrived broken. One of the terminals was cracked clear off of the cap.

Washed and waxed the car today since the weather was not bad out. Also a quick pic of the amp pull switch. Still have to remove the chrome rocker next to it as well as the triple rocker panel underneath the headlight knob to make everything complete.

The brake pedal rubber and trim came from Mustangs unlimited, the accelerator pedal and e brake pedal covers came from late 70's Lincolns in junkyards I visited.

As far as the fog lamp bezel goes....I will be spraying up some test panels. I sorta want the tan, gloss black as well as the silver all in the bezel. I'd love to integrate the wood (fake wood) of the dash but I have no material for it and purchasing some for such a little piece is nonsense.

My first thought is to have a gloss black lip wrapping around to just beyond the screw heads. Mask off the lines that the screws heads would make to connect all of the mounting points and paint that silver and have the remaining interior textured desert tan.

Today marks 6 years that I have legally owned and driven this car. I remember the first drive like it was yesterday. Dad was with me and said I should slow down and that I drive a bit too fast. Good times.
