I had one reman and a couple different new ones. Much as I don't want to, it makes me consider rebuilding the damn things myself.

I got a reman at a swap meet for $5, eight years and 50k ago. Works good. Probably the last of the good ones before they started cheaping out the newer remans.

Air conditioning was still working fine, though I noticed the compressor was short cycling probably due to being low on refrigerant. Had a bottle of R12 around, same one I used back in either 2009/10 when the system was last topped off. I have a 134r fitting on my low side as the original fitting would no longer seal! So dad and I cobbled up a r12 t 134 adapter hose to use and fill up the system. the first time we just use regular r12 fittings to the car but like I said it began leaking after that.Click image for larger version

After the AC was topped off (just cracked the bottle a bit and let the compressor's clutch stay engaged longer and closed her off) I used a can of meguiars air re freshener on her to make it smell extra nice inside.Click image for larger version

Need you a proper set of manifold gauges to do that kind of thing. R12/R22 ones show up used for relatively small money now that those are being phased out. R22 still exists but mostly older home AC equipment.

True. I would be interested in seeing how things are reading.

Only have a 134 manifold set here. Could have cobbled up a way to make that set work but I did not want to mix any r12 in the 134 lines.

                    ASP Underdrive pulley.

ASP underdrive crank pulley arrived today. It is indeed made out of aluminum and did come anodized black. Looks like a very nice piece complete with instructions and hardware.

It sure is new. I spoke to Lee from ASP after placing my order. They mentioned that it is not an item that is kept in stock so they just make them when an order comes in. Because of that they gave me the option to have it anodized in any color I wanted as it was not made yet.

I don't believe mine came with belt sizing info. Maybe a change, or perhaps I just missed the sheet.

Do you mean it is available in NFG?

I'd hope its not available in NFG. That would be pointless.
