I too have a set of truck pedal pads I am going to install. Nice to see the trim options, they look GREAT!

Look at Toms thread GMGT. He has that exact setup I had pictured. It’s the ones that were on my car.

That's better than pictures. Giraffe can probably check that out in person.

Started working on the 79 bumper...whose origins can be found here:http://www.grandmarq.net/vb/showthre...is-a-79-Bumper

Cleaned her off at work once the delivery was made then once I got her home I really got down to business with the clay bar and the chrome polish.

Had minor pitting in a couple of spots and some scratches from being tossed around since 1979. Pitting was taken care of with the metal polish, the scratches/gouges/scuffs/rub marks etc however were negligibly lessened. Still very happy for its condition overall. Will look killer once I get around to installing it.

                The part number:

                Looking good:

                You can see some imperfections:

                The top side:

                mmmm. Me likey shiny things.

Agreed. I woulda thrown that bumper on my CV and not cared about it not being perfect. That CV is already show worthy, more so when you get that bumper on there.

Today I cleaned up the few rust spots on the back side. Scuffed the entire back side with a scotcbrite ball on a drill and then slathered on rust converter. Next step is rust encapsulator over the entire back side.

                          I want it to last.

                            Bumper complete.

Entire backside was coated to prevent future corrosion and just piece of mind. Next step will be placing this in the attic and getting the NOS rear smoothie bumper out for the same preservation treatment. Cannot hurt.

Took the car out for its maiden voyage of 2018. Also the first time out with the ported lower intake and things are leaner then I would like them to be. Some tune work to be done for sure. Knocked the rust off the rotors with MANY hard stops.

Some clips from the first go around:
