    Probably not for a couple of years. Whenever the oil pan is too far gone because of rust I will have the HO conversion done. I have everything I need besides a HO camshaft. I really just want the car a bit peppier. I am pretty damn happy with how it is thus far though. Like I said earlier, I do not have mechanical abilities. I do not know how these things come together.

        Aluminum is a great electrical conductor. It works great as a ground. How do you think you're alternator grounds? That's all aluminum. :p

            Bumper Filler Removal and Battery Terminal Cover

            Removed all of the bumper fillers in preparation for paint.

            Front bumper off:

            And bumper just tossed back on:

            Replaced a broken bumper block thing:

                if it were me, I think I would flip the battery around. I wouldnt be all that comfortable with the positive terminal so close to the core support

                  I have one of those reversed batteries with the terminals on the other side with the positive still near the fender on my box. It's a duralast too, but one of the regular red ones. Dunno which number though... I can find out if anyone wants to know.

                    Then I would have to make an entire new set of battery cables. Fine the way it is.



                    Just got a quote on a new dark metallic brown vinyl top. The top will have a sparkle to it too! 250 bucks in and out the door the same day. Gonna have it done here: McCoy Auto Tops and Interiors

                    Woodside, NY 11377.

                    My dad deals with them through his work and they have been around for a long time. I am going to first have the transition areas painted final body color and remove the opera glass and then have the top installed hopefully in a couple of weeks. Can't wait.

                        Yeah the guy said there would be some sparkles in it and I was like COOL! I am skeptical as to how metallic the vinyl will be, but I am just happy to have a new top put on. Bling bling is just an extra if it is true.

                          I paid $425 for my roof, you just got a deal on that one! I think it will look fine with a little sparkle to it.

                                1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt
