    FYI: Aero seats are a PITA to get out. Gotta take the seat off the rails first and THEN take the rails out... at least for the power seats.

      How'd you have a problem getting those out? Do your doors not open all the way or something? I had my mom's seats out with the tracks attached...

        I'll take a picture of it later then. You'll see what I mean then. The side by the doors was EASY. The side in the middle of the car has zero room to manuver.

          The green arrow, in the second pic, shows how far back that nut is.

          to get in there, you would need 2 u-joints, an 18mm, and a 2" extension to get around the brackets. 5/16 10mm however was enough to get the bolts off the bottom of the seat and remove it from the rails. The nut was pretty f'n tight too. Once the seat was out of the way... I could get in there with the 18mm (had to wedge it on the nut first as the rails blocked clearance a bit) with a 6 inch extension and get proper torque on that thing to get it loose.

                stupid obvious question but you did try moving the seat forward to get better access right?

                  1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt

                    the 6-axis on the passenger seat doesn't work. Only the rear tilt works.

                    so yes... I tried... but it's locked up solid.

                          the stock center caps for these are crap and break and fall off (that's now we lost 3 of them and only have one half broken one left) so yeah... it's staying the way it is.

                            When my Dad had his '93, I got them from a guy in Philly (EBAY). They were not OEM (dealer wanted $120 EACH!!) but had the same clips and stayed on even after the accident. The entire set was like $40 and I got them in a couple of days. Not sure if he is still selling but I may be able to look him up if you are really interested. Bobby
