definitly time for an oil change and a new air filter as well.

the torque converter is really givin me hell in the cold, i just switch off the o/d whenever i go up a hill so i dont get pissed off when i feel it slipping, gonna have to change the trans fluid once i get some $$$ and a warm-ish day rolls around.

may need a new converter as well. I know my 93 needed a new converter at about 110K. It was totally shot.

no clue... stock converters are pretty much a dime a dozen for these cars and everyone sells them. I've always let the shop do it so if the converter is bad, they have to deal with replacing it under warranty.

id probably do it myself, but thats just me, haha. i looked on napa's website, i think they have em for $129 with a warranty, so im not really worried about that, its the $129 that im worried about. hopefully it just needs a fluid change

looks like snow is comin today! gonna have me some fun!

on another note, changed the oil last night, wasnt as bad as i thought, but the new oil definitly woke him up!

got a bead leak on the right front tire, not too worried since thats one of the old tires thats gonna be replaced once spring rolls around, god willing i have the money, hahah! i think that torque converter problem should be adressed 1st though before i even think about tires. really hoping it just needs a fluid change, smells kinda burnt.

coolant flush is also in order, looks like straight water at this point, not sure when it was done last.

Have you used "shudder fix" for the torque conveter? If it helps,it might buy you time until you can replace it.
