Motor now has 2,300 miles on it.
Trans is struggling but still working like a champ! If you don't use reverse...
Noisy valvetrain pisses me off, as does the leaky crank seal on the timing cover. Eh, fuck it. It does what it needs to.

Mod-box will be in the line-up. I've had my fun with SBFs and hated their exhaust note all the same.

if you set the lifter preload properly that valvetrain shit stops. Mine did it for years. Changing the pushrods and the rocker arms to proper length and parts that weren't worn out made it all go away.

you actually prefer the modular exhaust note? ugha.

I like them equally, 2 different sounds, both good. Always like the burble of a 99-up Mustang GT with loud pipes, or any 4.6 Cobra. That is, if it's not one of the thousands with blowmaster mufflers that all have that same hollow sound.

You should buy the '06 P71 I just got and cannibalize it; put the chassis under the coupe.

This car was a lot of fun to drive in. You built one baddass POS lol. A lot of things look questionable but it is indeed functional and will do burnouts.

Isn't that what the point of the build was?! I mean what else is an 80s crown vic with a 5 speed good for, can't just cruise in a manual v8 car!

It may be time to cycle my other rear tire over to the right hand side.

                    Update on the transmission:
                    Reverse is almost entirely un-usable.
First and second don't like to go into gear sometime.

                    STILL WORKING LIKE A CHAMP

Yes, exactly. I'm hoping the next one will get me through next summer, then she's going under the knife. (Hopefully.)

I'm pretty bored with driving this thing, it's too slow.

LSD carrier, Timken install kit, and Girdle have been ordered! I guess the 3.73s I've had laying around will finally get put to use.

Man I'm excited for the two wheel peels.
