I just shut it with the edge. If I didn't put enough ooga-doogas in it, I try again rather than mash down. Strange that people end up without any fucks left to give for that job.

The intent was to be subtle, classy, not detract from the look of the hood and add a hidden performance secret kinda vibe..
Most important to me was making it look like Ford did it.
im pretty damn excited about it.

Looks good. I'd probably put them in backwards to help evacuate heat from the radiator, but that's just me.

                      Nice! Are those functional scoops?

I was looking for a square hood scoop/bubble for the '86 CV; but the best I could find is a Mopar 6-pack hood scoop.

They were originally functioning to provide air for the intercooler. With some aluminum flashing and some cardboard, I'm going to make something work for my car. At the very least forcing air into a modified 'stock looking' airbox and cold air induction setup.
. Here's a shot of the bottom ducting of the turbo coupe hood before it met the body saw.

A few pix from last night. The little yellow tape tits are things dude will correct. These hand laid pinstripes are a pain in the ass even with a stencil. Once the back end of the stripes are proper, it gets another clear and then polished. The scoops ended up falling in good places in my opinion. The drivers side is just above and behind the airbox and the passenger side lays just beside the A/C compressor. Now, to figure out what to do with cool air.
