Hey, that's a real fun idea! Hm.... now I just need me a race-prepped sedan so I can do the same. :p

74 Celica/S2000 hybrid = a mighty good idea I think. I dont even want to know what a complete S2000 drivetrain costs. It sucks that eventually the vic will come off the road, but such is life. I've been toying with the idea of a Nissan 240sx project (ya, I know what your all gonna say) after getting a ride in my friends SR20DET swap 240. It was insane, and even more fun to drive. Or maybe a build on a 2.2 ecotec in a cavalier or a cobalt. But for now the vic will do until it explodes/body rots through and falls through the frame.

Well, it's official. I am soon going to have in my possession a 1973 Celica. The car is already a track car, and has an Autopower roll bar (with diagonal and harness bar), 6 point cam lock harnesses (driver and passenger), Corbeau Forza race seats (both sides), AE86 rear discs, coil overs front, Koni race struts up front, and Bilstein heavy duty in the rear, afco race springs, adjustable panhard bar, built 20/22R Hybrid motor (155RWHP and 160 RWTQ) from an NA 4 cyliner! And the best part is the nice and flat torque curve.

The below pics are from the current owner. I'll be taking delivery late December.

This 2200lb beast is gonna be a blast! But this does mark a notable change in the path of the Vic. Trackbound it is no more. I am going to do the big brake upgrade with rear discs, air bag the rear, and put a trailer hitch and brake controller on the car. The Vic will be my tow vehicle for track events.

So that means you WILL continue to improve the vic....RIGHT!...And I hope that celica GT has a power bulge. Car's with the power bulge are sexy... Like my Capri for instance
And I changed my mind about that turbo idea...how about a supercharger? that would go great with that flat torque curve.
