did you have a 351 in the mustang? i know theres quite a difference in the H-pipe design from a 302 to a 351w because 351ws are wider or something. you may have to find a custom H or find a local shop around here thats willing to mandrel-bend it. it shouldnt be too much tho, not the $1k you estimated.

Nope. It was a 302. It was destined to receive the motor out of the Vic. I loaned out the car only for it to get into a head-on with a truck 7 miles later. I should scan the pics sometime and post them. The 351 exhaust ports are higher up and wider apart due to the deck height. I was really shocked to see the headers not work. Seemed like the motor sat too high in the car to work out. Last I heard, the shortblock is in some fencing company's flatbed truck getting a workout daily. The exhaust is the last thing on the list, so maybe by then my welding skills will improve enough to do it myself. Anyway, got any plans this weekend? Time for one last cruise before I tear into the Vic.
