I'll have my nephew snap a couple once we get it on the hoist. It's a 'JDM" engine, imported from Thailand. Just kidding, Japan lol. It's a direct pull with all accessories.

Sorry no pics, his phone was dead. BUT, everything ready except the timing belt kit.

Couldn't get the bloody crank bolt off. Wholy crap. A 6' pipe on an old Proto breaker bar, the bar was bending at least 25 degrees, it's now slightly bent. A lesser bar would've snapped. The mech'll do it.

And the engine being on the floor I think I did the equivalent of 30 or 40 squat thrusts. Legs are sore!

Well, turns out the engine was a Cressida pull, so all the accessories needed swapped from the old engine.

He had to drop the pan, and guess what? Spun bearings, which is a known NA 3.0 problem, if you're romping on it in first gear. I'm not going to tell my sis or bro in law, but have a quiet talk with the nephew.

He does want the old engine, he's going to take it apart, his idear!

He might not be changing them on this one, but he's paying for it

It's back! Runs very well. All in around $2300.

For the record, the engine supplier was JDM Engine World in Queens Village NY, and the mechanic (who I recommend) is C Town Automotive Repair and Collision Center on Broadway in Clevelands' Slavic Village. Ask for Hose.
