Yea, she is a base model.

Even has the Manual cable driven mirrors, which I have never seen on a Lincoln before.

I don't think Lincolns got power mirrors until 84. I have an 80 or 81 Mark VI brochure at home and don't remember any mention of them.

The same Automatic Overdrive badges were used on the front fenders of some police package LTD's with 351 motors. This one is a 1986. My police Vic is also a 1986, but came without badges. I don't know why some got them and others didn't.

that was standard. no power in '80. your lincoln is equiped the exact same, except mine has an analog gauge cluster.

Yes, I stand corrected. I just was coming to this thread to say that my 81 Mark VI brochure does in fact mention "power remote control mirrors" as an option.

Interesting. Was under the impression that these where the base model MKVI's, and the Designer and Signature Series where the top of the line. I need to get on the bay and pickup a "80 Mark VI brochure, should clear things up.

they were never considered "base" lol. you had a standard, designer and signature mark VI. i have a kanadia and US version of the 1980 lincoln brochure and there is no mention of power mirrors. its prolly an 1982-83 introductory thing.

over the years there were a number of mirror options, manual with no heat, manual with heat, electric with no heat, and electric with heat. Then the plugs changed sometime in 87, so there ends up being like 6 different possible mirror options. I actually bought 87+ mirrors for my car and changed the plugs over because I was able to get NOS 87 mirrors for 35 bucks each and the correct ones were like 60 each. For 25 bucks a mirror I'll spend 5 minutes replacing a plug.
