    Default My Continental Story

This is a rare 1980 Lincoln Continental Mark VI Signature Series 2dr. Beauitul Signature Series Sliver metallic paint and inside is beauitful dark red, Texas Bordello velour seats. Does have power moonroof! This car has 351W V8 2bbl; only 104,500 ORIGINAL KILOMETERS, that mean approx about 64,000 miles on it.

In my understanding about 1980-1981 Mark VI Signature Series are rare, unique, and often misunderstood examples of the Mark Heritages. Many of them are completely unaware of the difference between a Signature Series Town Car, and a Signature Series Mark VI (or between a 1980/1981 model and the subsequent 1982/1983 models). This 'Series' identification was applied to the Mark VI, before it become a Town Car trademark.

Additionally, the 1980 and 1981 Mark VIs share the distinction of being the equivalent and subsequent standard bearers of the heralded 1978 Diamond Jubilee and 1979 Collector's Series Mark V's. The Extensive list of standard and special features, unique to the 1980 and 1981 Mark VI Signature Series, two-door and four-door models.

One undeniable fact remains: the 1980 and 1981 Mark VI Signature Series is the rarest and most exclusive of all sixth-generation Marks.

1980-1981 Signature Series's interior color only one is dark red (whatever in leather seats or velour seats). Also 1980-1981 Signature Series's paint is only available two colors is Dark Red and Silver Metallic. But interesting in second half of 1981 Signature Series of Mark VI offered two new color is black and white.

Here some my favorite pictures with descriptions:

    Unique pin stripe on hood:

Color keyed lens and color keyed bumper:

Rare padded deck lid deleted option:

    Production numbers: 80 = 1980 model year 243 = productions built

    Nice Macassar Ebony woodgrain:

    Mark VI's nameplate:

    Beauitful Texas Bordello Velour seats:

Special Lincoln badge on rear back seat:

    Comfortable rear seats:

Signature Series' tool kits in the trunk:

Original re-chargeable flashlight in the glovebox:

Looks great. Looks like a single exhaust, and i'm sure you'd be much happier with duals. Since you have a 351, you'd benefit with a 2.25" system. Do you plan on switching to a 4bbl in the future?

Normally i'd agree, but these mods make it better, and plus you won't even notice.

Thats such a rare bird that it would almost be a sin. All I'd even consider is stock duals. The 4v would be fun but its so clean and nice that it would just mess with the whole "totally original" thing. Those seats look super comfy.

Sweet mang. Love the red interior and opera windows. Good info as well!

Being as rare as she is, I'd keep her original and in a garage. She'll get a lot of looks at the car shows.

My worst enemies are those who presume me to be harmless. They cannot imagine how much I resent and disdain them, or just how great a threat they would face if I could get at them. Everything in their behavior speaks of insult and presumptuousness, and for now it is all I can do to make constructive use of my anger toward them. At this time, I just make a list of them and keep a watch on. Some day, with the help of time, space, and circumstance, I will be able to humiliate them properly - not in a manner they would enjoy, but in a style calculated to make them wish that they had never been born.

I love the porno red shag seats. Its also interesting how it comes with a toolkit and flashlight. Stuff like that was common on high end luxury cars in the 70s, but it went away in the 80s.

Teh seats look like they're wrapped in bath robe material. I'd mod the hell out of it tho.
