got my 3G install done, MUCH simpler than i was expecting. did run into a few clearance issues, but nothing my angle grinder couldnt fix now charges at 14.6 volts at idle with nothing on and 14.2 with everything on at idle

got the alternator out and pulling the old wiring out

for those who were following my suspension post. i finished that project up last week and am now getting around to posting the update. first off id like to say balljoints suck. the top were AWFUL to remove. bottoms were easy enough. inner and outer tie rods werent the easiest but not too bad and the sway bar goodies were easy also.

i also cut my springs. it was very very easy. bit time consuming but easy. for those who want to go this route i would def recommend giving it a try.. HOWEVER!!!!!!... dont go anymore than a full coil. my springs are pretty used and i only cut half a coil. i love the result, if you scroll back you can see a side view of the car and the new view i just posted. i believe i got around 1 inch of drop which is excellent. wish i wouldve gone 3/4 of a coil but im happy none the less. be warned. it does affect the handling and if youre going the polyurethane route for bushings as i did you will notice a significant difference. not a bad one. but very noticable. also on a positive note the spring cutting did not seem to affect the ride quality much at all.

overall im very happy with the outcome. more work is in order as i havent done the pitman arm or the drag link, so i have a bit of play in the steering at first. im also pulling the rear swaybar so i can paint it and make it look sporty.
