    Metro Detroit CL Finds

Found a "1987 Ford Car" on CL
The owner doesn't give much detail other than it has 53k miles and wants $1800
From the pics it was either grandpa's car or it's not originally from MI, either way $1800 seems like a reasonable price based on the pics.

Check out that dash, no cracks that I can see in the pic.

I just noticed there seems to be a spot of rust just under the C-pillar, forward from the fuel door, but still looks to be in better shape than anything I've ever owned.

A 2004 Marauder, $3800, 83k miles. In the description the owner says they think it needs a motor but that they don't actually know what's wrong with it.

That may or may not be a good deal depending on whats wrong with it and how much of the repairs the buyer can do himself. And if the new owner can live with those modifications.
Because putting it back stock, paint and interior would cost a small fortune. And I expect most Marauder buyers wouldn't want that interior or exterior.
It should be against the law to do that to any Marauder.

A bit north of Metro Detroit, up in Port Huron, an 89 MGM LS. Looks pretty good, but what does the other side look like? what does the interior look like?
I can only assume the other side and interior look just as good as the two pics shown, and if that is the case then I think the price is fair.

And a 91 MGM. Again more details needed but at least the pics show most of the car and other than peeling clear-coat the car looks decent.

I guess I don't spend much time on CL...

Anyway, 1984 CV for $900 in Howell, MI. Ad says it overheats after 10 minutes but if those pics are recent the body should be decent, 108K miles might be legit.
1984 would be CFI, and it would have plastic timing gears, right?
                  No under-hood or under-body shots.

Wow, that turd even has the tripminder. Rare deal in a Ford. That CFI is junk, only year I'd play with is 85 as it was at least EEC IV. Flat tappet cam too and IIRC the horn is on the turnsignal stalk.. With that said it is solid and I'm thinking that could be a good candidate for your next car, Vic! Offer the dude $500, pull the engine from your '89, slap it in there and call it done. Our GMC is anxious to tow something.

1984 2 Door Grand Marquis in Eastpointe, MI

Looks like it is in pretty good shape, hopefully winter wasn't too rough on it:

When the previous owner had this car just a couple miles from me I used to see it all the time. From the road it looked like it was in very good condition, but I've never seen this car up close. If the pictures are recent, then I'd say it still looks as good as it did from the road last year.

back seat looks a little jacked up on the passenger side. But other than that, yeah. I'm guessing the interior has been replaced.

This is metro Detroit sly, the dude probably had the rear seat out to put "sounds" in it.

That picture looks familiar, I think the seat was that way when the previous owner had that car.

Figured, but you'd think they could actually put it back.
