At most, you'll need to clearance the inner lip on the lower bracket. That's all. Takes about 5-10 minutes with a grinder. Maybe 15 with a die grinder.

Same here, I left my brackets alone on both, although I can see how it would help to grind that bracket down a little especially if you have a larger pully on the altenator.
