    Scottfest 2026?

Any chance of a meetup 2nd weekend in August (8th-9th)?

I know there's a prohibition on working on cars at Scottfest, but I was hoping to bring my nephew out and get the engine, trans, and rear in the '89 Wagon so I can drag it home and get the Ohio title then get it tuned and finally on the road.

I don't have a good number for Scott so can someone please PM it to me or have him give me a call or text?

    Thanks.

I'm game. I think the prohibition was more a case of "don't take apart the car you drove here in and need to drive back home in" after a couple of incidents where people couldn't get back home in their ride.

    I'll PM you his number

Weather permitting, I could potentially swing by those dates.

I know Scott recently posted about getting a new job so that would most likely take priority.

Yeah... I'm one of those people that created that rule. That car did eventually drive home and I'm still driving it, but yeah. I have never known a rule about not putting something together to take away and make room. I think that would be encouraged.

heh, of course my plans possibly immediately changed. I may have to help or at least babysit an engine R&R with a re-bearing thats probably happening at my garage about the same time.

              Not mine luckily.

Both the Mark VI and the '91 slicktop are down currently. Fuel pump relay issue got progressively worse on the '82, and might have to swap an engine and rear end in the '91. A spark plug broke off, thought we got it all, and it ran okay for a week or two but then all sorts of problems and bucking and stalling out.

I plan to get them both back on the road soon as I can. But I bought the duplex from my gf's mom so neverending house stuff (knob and tube, main stack, etc) is going to have to take priority so hopefully I can get it rented out.

Going to be working Monday to Friday 8-6 and Saturdays until 2pm. Sunday I go to Church from 9:30-11ish, Organist wants me to sing with the choir, She hopes I join the Choir since there are only 3 men. I don't mind people here as long as the house and garage are secured and no one gets hurt.

Hey guys, regarding Scottfest 2026 for August 9th: As many of you know, I just started a brand-new shop job and I'm locked into a grueling 6-day work week, so I cannot get Saturday off. Furthermore, Sunday morning is sacred to me—I am singing in my church choir on Sunday the 9th and I will not miss it. Skippy was a godly man, and I’m not afraid to show my faith either. **If you guys still want to roll down, here is the game plan: Let's do a post-shift meetup on Saturday afternoon (August 8th) for wrenching, dinner near Birdsboro when I punch out. Then on Sunday morning (August 9th), I want all of your Box Panthers, Aeros, and Whales parked proud right in my church parking lot. You can sit in the pews, hear the choir sing, and we can tailgate and shoot the breeze in the lot right after the service wraps up. Let me know who is in!"

My oldest nephew Thomas is planning to come out on Saturday and help me put the wagon together. I will likely rent a uhaul & dolly either late Saturday or first thing on Monday morning, and load up and go.

I might need to hitch a ride with you to church Scott, or somebody else if that's okay.

We're out here making progress on the wagon. Front springs are in and nobody died! Big brakes went on and motor mounts are in. Lower control arms just plopped out instead of shooting across the driveway. Red bushings are in and hopefully it will be able to roll with the motor and trans in it by end of day tomorrow.
