    VIN numbers

    Hi i was just wondering if anyone can identfy vin numbers i just wanted to find out what motor orginally came in my car.

    What year is your car? Going by the little picture in your signature, it looks like an '88-'91 Grand Marquis, which would mean it came with an SEFI 302 V8.

      That looks to me to be an 83-87 from the very small pic. In which case he could have CFI as well.

      CFI went from 83-85, SEFI went from 86-91.

        Judging from the tire smoke in the one pic, I doubt it's a CFI...

                Oh ya forgot its an 83 and i no it has a 302 now but i thought it orginally came with a 351 so i was just trying to figure out.

                  Go to the carfax.com site and punch your VIN in the free check thing. It'll tell you what engine your car came with originally.

                        Ok thank you that site worked...before i tryed one of those sites like car fax and all it said was it was a grand marquis 2 door
                        And it did orginally come with a 351
