New owner of a 91 GM

I just wanted to introduce myself on here and say that this site has a lot of useful information. I just bought a 91 Grand Marquis with around 160k on her. She runs and drives like a boat should. I have replaced the TV bushing as it was just about to break when I got the car. So I didn't move it until I got it fixed. I had a 87 Lincoln Towncar so I already knew about the bushing (2 transmissions later). I also gave her a tune up (3 plugs were fouled out). Thats why I got her for only $500. Shes is in very good shape, black with maroon cloth interior. The only issues are only one of the lock motors work, the front windows don't roll up or down without assistance, the back work fine though, and the AC doesnt work. Everything else is good. I tried to put a conversion AC kit on this thing but there was a leak in one of the lines and the compressor wouldn't cycle. Ah well what can u expect for only $500 dollars. Overall I'm very pleased.

Just think, if you bought new lock motors at ford, you'd have more money into those than the entire car. =-)

Welcome! The windows just need the plastic rollers replaced in the motors. You can get those or you can get a kit that also comes with the center metal gear and new outer plastic gear.
