1997 mercury marquis stalls at redlights, and general slowing to a stop
[B][/BI have a 1997 Mercury marquis. Problem : When I stop at a light or slow for a stop sign, my car will sometimes quit running. It starts right back up, but I don't know why its happening. Someone said I should change the fuel filter (and I did), but the next day pulling into a gas station it stalled out again. I keep my foot on the gas and brake st the same time so it wont stall when I'm at a light. Any suggestions or help.
