    The 4.6 engine

Is a modular engine with not too much horsepower.

LMFAO @ stu. I can agree as I have a 1995 towncar with the 4.6. It is a great engine don't get me wrong it just has no nuts. Mods to the engine include a cold air intake with a Mercury Marauder airbox and maf, custom chip, 180 degree thermostat with 1 step colder plugs, steeda u/d's, dual exhaust w/ gutted cats and flowmaster delta 50's and lets not forget the k&N that adds at least 50hp. While these mods have made the engine more enjoyable and given me better gas milage it still won't touch the vic after its mods. Lesson here is $2,500 into 5.0=

I have a 93' 4.6.........plenty of top end/cruise power.........not enough bottom end power. Working to solve that.

Stock 4.6 versus stock 5.0 or 5.8, I'll take the extra HP and better gas mileage of the 4.6.

                  My 4.6

I'm new here. I've got a 1992 GM LS w/the Handling and Performance Package (HPP). With the dual exhaust and the 3.27 ratio, it does have its get up and go. However, I added something to compliment the HPP-- the CVPI PCM. This also helped in the way the trans shifts, too.

BTW, with my last GM LS HPP, I was able to keep up to 142 MPH behind a MM with a chip and a burly driver.

My 4.6L suits me just fine.. thank you very much FOO!!!! It's a good motor look how it's developing now.... FOO!!!!

Actually the 03 Cobra motor would be better but I will get one eventually. Just like how I will build another Vic Eventually..... I just need someone to post up a better time slip then me... then I'll be motovated. The closest has been 15.something..... so I still have a long ways to wait it seems....

Can the 32V 4.6L Intech play too?

Nothing new here, but with a little programming they can get into the 14's. With the right intake, exhaust and drivetrain help they are in the 13's. Throw in a s/c and its in the low 12's. Add a little spray on top of that and 11's aren't out of the question. Not too shabby for a 4200 lb. family four-door that can still be driven daily.

My car has plenty of high end power as well as enough mid range power. It could use low end, and if I had the money to put gears in I would, but I don't. I'm PLENTY happy how it is, considering most of my driving is highway and that's where the motor comes out to play.

When the 1993 4.6 CV with dual exhaust made more horsepower than the same year 5.0 HO Mustang with its awesome E7 heads, the writing was on the walls.
