Just updating. New Carter fuel Pump has been flawless, have a couple hundred miles on it now. It remains a little quieter than the stock one was. Fuel level deal as described in post 33 above is still present, but no big deal. I typically reset the odometers when fueling, so good enough.
Absolutely NO sign of any leaks at the gasket either.
Today, 05-10-2025 , took her into NC for a family dinner meet, filled twice, once maybe 60 miles from start, it had 149 miles when filled, too 6.73 gallons, 22.14 mpg. andgauge was at that same near 3/4 mark as in post 33.
Second fill up was 7.03 gallons, 171 miles later, and again the gauge never moved. 24.32 mpg.
I think it fair to say that is a bit over 7 gallons not reported. Sure is nice to hear that few seconds quiet humm at first start.
