Definitely looks way better than the Dorman one. Much beefier runners too. The heater hose barb is replaceable as well and Chris is working on getting those bits into inventory as well for anyone who needs to replace just the hose barb.

This new intake has created a stir on a couple of Mustang forums I’m on. It is a revised Dorman casting. LMR did a pull with that intake compared to the original pi intake and a Dorman intake. That intake edged out the old pi intake in torque production at low rpm’s but made less power up top. It did better than the Dorman but doesn’t flow as well as the old pi intake. It’s a shame but that’s our best option for a factory-like intake now.

I think that works for the panthers just fine. Since there's more bottom end torque, that helps get a move on.

Very true. I guess is 2v guys are just lucky Ford replaced it instead of completely dropping the manifold from the market, even if it isn’t as good as the original.
