My buddy has a 2005 Town Car, once in a while he hears a clunk. Has all new tie rods, ball joints etc. Has a little play in the steering wheel. Do the racks have bushings where they are bolted on? WagonMan

Looks like a solid mount. But also check the sway bar links. Those are the usual suspects.
