Some designer decided that the 95 GM should have vertical black bars over the backup lights...I can't see to back up. The brake lights put out more light.
The only higher wattage bulbs I have seen are 50watt halogens that come with explicit warnings about melting plastic. I don't think that I would be melting anything since I don't spend hours backing down the highway.
But, that isn't going to get rid of the black bars. Did any other years have clear lenses in that trunk panel? Would there be any way to get rid of the black bars?
I'm not going to mount foglights in the back, so short of that, does anyone have any other suggestions?
Thank you,
Jim
