will a5.0L fuel injection fit on a 351and work?

like the title says. iwas thinking power plus better fuel economy.

351C or 351W? I know that ford makes a gt-40 lower intake for the 351W and all you need I think is the upper intake and the harness with all the senser's and computer for what ever trans you are going to use. pick up a ford motersport catalog $5.00 at the ford dealer ship with that you can look up prices and part numbers. I hope that turns out for you

a fuel injection off of what kind of 5.0? HO or standard? You'd at least need a new lower intake, as the 351W is wider than a 302. an ECM off of a standard 5.0 wont work because of the different firing order.

351W EFI can be done, but it will take some money, work and more money.

as mentioned, you would need the correct EFI lower manifold, you can source one from a EFI truck/van or opt for a lighting/GT-40 style intake.
MAF is going to be the easiest way for tunablility, I would use a Mustang MAF ECM, 80mm sensor and 24lb injectors at minimum, 30lb would probably be best. it will need to be tuned and chipped to compensate for the larger displacement (351 vs 302)

And btw... the 351 EFI Lower from FRPP has been discontinued

The GT40 style 351W lowers have been going for around $250 in aluminum and $150 in iron on Ebay lately.
Ford truck 351W motors use 19# injectors stock.

I don't see the lower being discontinued as being a big deal. It was overpriced from FRPP. There are enough used ones floating around and there are complete aftermarket intakes available for less than $100 more than the FRPP lower was selling for new.

I'd like to do this as well on some project, but I was considering how to deal with the fuel rails. Could stock Panther fuel rails be widened by cutting the soft lines between the two halves and replacing it with longer pieces? The other consideration is what ECM to use. Lightning would be the ideal, since I think its 351 SEFI, but I suppose it would be entirely possible to re-wire the harness to run a 351 batch fire truck ECM, but that would kind of negate the fuel economy aspect. Maybe run a mass air HO ecm and have it tuned to run the 351....

Ford's put fuel injected 351s in trucks for several years. I'd just re-use the stock fuel rails. Searching around the 'net, there are quite a few hot rod 351s with Ford fuel injection on them.

The truck rails do not match up with the CV/GM lines.

I guess I was thinking of "rubber lines" like are on my E150. That allows the routing of the fuel supply/return to be pretty flexible. Maybe I don't understand the limitation of using truck rails from a 351W on another 351W - since it will certainly fit.

Mostly it was my concern of the line fitment. Panther fuel lines have a feed on the passenger side and a return on the driver's. Fox cars are feed and return on the passenger (i think, both on same side anyway) and I do believe the trucks also have the feed and return on the driver's side. I really dislike using rubber line for fuel hose if I can help it. I guess it would be possible to customize my stock fuel lines and run a crossover on the front frame member or something but ideally I would not want to go screwing with the chassis lines too much.

There are not conventional rubber lines on your F150. You still have metal quick disconnect fittings at the rails. Since the fittings are in a different spot, it would be more trouble than making a CV rail wider for the 351W intake.
