    Loudest exhaust

If I wanted to have the loudest exhaust I could without it being high sounding, what kind of setup would be the loudest? And open exhaust doesn't count. Or if you're too lazy to list every part in the exhaust, just the loudest muffler is fine.

I'm not sure that is street legal. I'm talking about something street legal, so that and I think the race muffler would be out, unless race mufflers are legal.

If you want something street legal then you have to use a stock muffler most likely. Most states do not allow you to modify your exhaust to be any louder than stock. Here in Florida my Flowmaster 40's are illegal, as are every other car with louder than stock exhaust. They may say 50-state legal, that just means that it does no effect emissions.

You need to find out what your state says about the limit of exhaust sound.

Well, my brother used to drive his car around after his exhaust fell off (how that happened, I couldn't tell you) and he never even got pulled over. I don't think that sound is an issue here. It's very rare that you hear cars before you see them. Just to save money, i'll just remove the whole system from the downpipes back until I get a warning that I need to replace my exhaust.

Mustang headers, cat-less h-pipe, 18" glasspacks. That should wake everyone up. I know mine does.

I'm with monterey1962, my glasspacks are pretty darned loud. I still have the stock manifolds with gutted cats.

I've heard a set of SLP Loudmouths on a Mustang with a slightly built motor. It was loud. But I've never heard them on a lo-po.
