Throttle Body and egr spacer gaskets for H.O Intake

Is there any aftermarket gaskets available for the tb and egr spacer on the stock H.O Upper? I gotta replace mine, so I phoned the local ford dealership, and they said all they had were bags of 10, and they wouldnt sell them individually @ $10 each. I dont understand that at all, but thats what they told me. Said the same thing when I tried to replace the same gaskets on my lopo upper. Any ideas other than to try another dealership?

Go to the local parts store, Fel Pro gaskets exist for it and are very cheap. No need for dealer visits for gaskets for a 302.

88 lincoln mark 7.......about 5 bucks ea......u need an egr and iac gasket too

Ya, i knew I needed them but just didnt mention it. I just dont understand why ford wouldnt sell me the gaskets unless I bought a bag of 10 of them. well, looks like i'm off to partsource tommorow then. thanks guys.

felpro gaskets are nice keep away from cork it can disintegrate and cause problems

Spent all day sourcing gaskets from Canadian tire (where I work), Napa, and finally Ford. Our computers said we didnt sell the EGR to Manifold Gasket or the IACV gasket. Phoned Napa, and they were just as useless, so called the dealership and had it all sorted out and ordered in 5 minutes. Bout $25 cad for all the gaskets I needed, plus 15% employee discount. Will get here Tuesday. Gettin dad to order me an intake spacer off ebay, and will hopefully have the H.O upper on next weekend if all goes well.

I got mine from advanced auto but you need some one behind counter to be just a little smarter than a box of hammers cause the first guy i talked to in there told me they coudnt get them. i paid around 5 bucks each

ya, the only reasonably intelligent guy in the parts department at our garage had left for the weekend, its an absolute bitch to find parts for personal and/or customer vehicles when hes not there.

Got mine from advance auto,they had the felpro upper intake gasket in stock,but I had to buy the lower intake gaskets just to get the upper intake gasket I needed,luckily it also came with an IAC gasket,not sure why.After explaining it to them 10-20 times,They said they had to order the HO TB and EGR gaskets,3 days later they ended up getting me 2 HO EGR spacer gaskets and no TB gasket. :cuss: Finally after 5 trips to the store they got it right and got me my TB gasket.Some of the people that get hired at these auto parts places know absolutly nothing about anything automotive,Who the hell is hiring these people!?!

poor canadians.......advance auto parts stocks the gaskets........if you look in scotts automotive service under montery62's ho swap i have pics of the proper gaskets.......did you already get a bored out lopo egr spacer?

Ya, one of my dads friends from his vintage motorcycle club runs a machine shop ou of his garage. He machined an aluminum swingarm from a honda vf-750 to fit on a yamaha XS650 cafe racer project hes building. Got the spacer for free from the scrappers and got it bored for $20 cad. Came out pretty good, but does not match up exactly to the H.O. I didnt know there was a slight taper on the HO spacer bore, and he copied that, but did it the opposite way. Not that big of a deal, only like a mm or less off, i'll worry about it some other time. I heard you americans have much better parts stores and alot more stuff more easily available, must be nice, we dont have much up here in the way of good parts stores or scrapyards.

My dealer parts guy kicks ass. Dealer sucks. My used to work there and is good friends with the parts guy, so we get everything at cost which is ussually about half of list.

its there to keep the hole smaller than the one it goes into so there isnt aan obstruction to air flow. Also the coed hole can shift in any direction in relation to the bolt hole location within a certian tollerance. Nothing is perfect. My match between spacer and manifold was the worst I have ever seen. It was so off center a stock gasket was off so far I had to trimm it. to half its width on one side.
