Sure. I'll take about any pictures (Box related) or scans right now.

Something else I just noticed, Tiggie...at some point the color of the kilometer numbers and the needle on the 140 speedos changed; I'd assume the same holds true on 85 speedos. Not sure if you want to go into silly little details like that, but I figured I should point it out.

      Mine ('89):

This is in Ryan's (Duceanahalf) '85 (don't know what year his came from; you'd have to ask him):

Like I say, I don't know if you figure that's important enough to add or not, but I figured I'd point it out in case no one else had noticed. If I had to guess, I'd say that it's probably a '79-'87 and '88-'91 thing.

You mean 88-89. If so, my 84 cluster had light teal colored kilometers, and my new one is all white, wish I remembered what year it was from....

I'll add more detail, but here is the story for US cars (Others would have MPH and KM/H reversed):
            - 1979 = White MPH, light orange needle and oranged KM/H
            - 1980-1987 = White MPH, white needle, and blue KM/H
            - 1988-1989 = White MPH and KM/H with flouresent orange needle

Someone fill me in on the 1990-1991 story? I'm thinking Black background with white letters and yellow pointer for CV. Silver background, black letters, and a ? pointer for GM.

I need info on the Linc ones too. Early Continental's and TC's got silver backgrounds and Mark's got Black? When did it the TC get the black background?

So did you write anything about some police models having a different shift pattern? It's very rare, and nothing is written about it in any service manual, Ford or otherwise.

You mean about how I have a 2nd gear-only at the bottom instead of a 1st gear-only at the bottom?

I think it was optional on the police models? Anyone got a year for me? There isn't much info on the early police models...

Well I know it was on the 88-89, as the cluster I have now came with it, and Nathan has it. Not sure if it was available in the older years. Surely not with the C4s. But I don't know about the rest.

Don't the C4 cars all go D-2-1 like mine does with its 85mph speedo?

I think so. The really early C4's from '64-'66 didn't. They used a D (which actually skipped first gear, so it was a two-speed), Green Dot D (all three forward gears used), and a L (for 1st gear only).
