Start using Rain X, at highway speed you don't need the wipers. I used it for years and only have to use the wipers in a real hard rain or when going slow. I get the windshild washer stuff.

I just thought of something ... don't suppose there could be a problem in the under-dash black box the wiper wiring goes through? I found out about that while rewiring my '87 wipers with hacked pieces of original harness. I imagine the delay and park features are controlled by that thing, and a problem there could make the system act pretty weirdly.

Where is that black box? that is prolly the problem.
I just bought a brand new motor and put it in...does the same thing.
I even took off the 2 connections on the motor and cleaned them with a Qtip and alcohol...no diffrerence.

Let's see if this helps ... this is the only picture I really have handy ...

The plug from the wiper/washer switch (1) and the big grey plug that goes to the wiper motor (2) both lead to the little black box thingie (3). Of course, this is with the dash out; getting to it from underneath will be more fun.

A fellow Linux user who can't get the attachment feature to work? For shame! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Host the file on photodump or something and use the "" tags.

Yeah, I'm slow with these forum features, especially since HTML tags don't work. I catch on pretty fast with Debian-based Linux distros for some reason, but I failed utterly to create a software router on my desktop machine and so am running a third machine as a router.

You running IPCop or Smoothwall on the 3rd machine? I've used both and prefer IPCop.........

I'm running Gentoo on this box, have been for about three years, from a Stage 1 install.

I should probably learn about those ... but no, I just did some searching and learned about Coyote Linux which boots from a floppy and is easy to configure, so I'm using that for a router for now. I'm told Gentoo is a great distro for configuring your system to your hardware, but the guy who told me that said his computer spent like 4 days straight compiling all the stuff he needed for his custom install. Thus the reason I'm currently favoring distros I can install in a short period of time from a single CD.
