Figure about 3-4 inches from bottom for Cold and another 3-4 above that or so for Hot.

Up and down movement should be ok. There should be about 1/16 to 1/8 inch gap between the clip and the bracket/bushing. A picture of this would be good to verify we are talking about the same item. There should just be very little slop side to side within the hole.

Probably won’t help too much since it’s at a bad angle but this is me moving it up and down, back and forth, then side to side. I’ve also got a clearer picture but it’s when the throttle is held so there’s tension on it. https://youtube.com/shorts/wHzVb8fVU...ZP1qxhnTE5IsEn

The bushing appears to be missing and I don't think thats the right retaining clip.

There is supposed to be a metal bushing in there with a hole just barely larger than the peg, roughly 3/16". The hole in the throttle plate is more like 1/2".

It is expected to have that much movement with no bushing (as stated). Need the proper brass or other metal bushing with the proper clip.

Another +1. Get the right thing in there. While you're at it, make sure the adjustment is right:

I order the bushing this morning and it should be in some time next week. I don’t remember if this car never had a bushing to begin with or if it fell out when I took off the intake, but I’ve never had any issues with it so far but that was probably pure luck.

Also, I got a question. This is my first and only car and I got to get to work tomorrow. The grommet that I pulled seems like it’s rubber and it’s not brittle at all. So the question is, should I keep driving with the clip on like how I was before, or throw the grommet on for the next 3-4 days while the bushing is getting shipped? I know under normal circumstances the answer would be dont drive it at all.

If you are going to drive the car, as a daily driver, I would put the rubber one in until the metal one arrives. If your transmission is still fine, you've already used up most of your "nine lives" so I wouldn't push my luck!
