Going ho, a friend of mine has ported our e7 heads with 1.7 rockers so I was wondering what I would gain from the stock motor if i went ho upper intake, ported e7s, ho tb and spacers, cold air, dual 2.25 exhuast, shorty headers I m not sure what else to do but thats what i have in mind if i need to redo my head gaskets, oh yeah probly bigger injectors too

If you do not change the cam, you don't need the ECM. That said, you're looking prob around 180-190 at the motor with the head swap. With the cam as well, its rated 225 hp. If you change the cam, you need a Mark VII ECM and fuel injectors.
COmpression test it before jumping to head gaskets. They don't blow that often, and usually you can determine if its a head gasket with some diagnosis. It would suck awful bad to change the heads and gaskets only to find the problem is a clogged radiator or a bad thermostat.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

Gadget has it right....you only need to swap to the 19lb injectors and HO ECM if you change the Cam.
and those have to be changed together btw, the ECM and Injectors.
with those 1.7RR, you should be able to put out 225 I'd say....with a good set of headers, maybe 235.
since those heads are ported, you might get a little higher, depending on the port job.
if it's really good, I would look into porting/gasket matching the upper and lower intakes...maybe going up to a 65mm TB...that would get you some more power there...the only problem is that if the intake is ported too much, you might lose a little low end.sigpic
