hehe, now i read the directions just a min ago. And i have a question!
It states i need a harmonic balancer install tool. Well i didn't know i would need such tool! sooo, Do i really need this tool or can i just put it on? ( this one im not gonna guess at. cause i don't want to spend another 40 - 60 bucks on another balancer.)

          THANKS MANGS!

( GAWD i gotta get some more bat's for my cam )
Do you have an air gun ratchet? That'll run it up real quick. Either that or you'll have to do it by hand.

            Paint the damn thing...

And why would you be worried about it resting on the balancer?

just make sure the shaft on the new water pump is the same height as the old one or the pulleys will hit each other.

Funny, I've not had luck installing my original '87 balancer without the installation tool set. Of course, my 1/2" impact wrench is a POS and probably wouldn't pull the thing on anyway. :p

Think that's what we used when the car was in the shop to put it on. after we started the bolt up to a certain point of course. Real easy.

What does this balancer installation tool consist of? I've never heard of such a thing...I just stuck mine on there, threaded the bolt in and buzzed it down.

the ones I've seen are just a longer bolt with a washer. useful on some engines where the bolt isn't long enough to get enough threads without stripping them. As long as you have the bolt threaded in far enough, usually its fine, but if its only in there a turn or two, thats a fast way to screw up a crankshaft.

I might have made one more bobo not sure.

when i put the fan on i filled the rad up to see if i had sprung any leaks. And i didnt. I wasent even thinking water would go up into the water pump. But aparentley it did hehe. Cause it leaked at the bipass house. tightened that hose up and no more leaking.. Buut. Ugha. This a big boo boo?
I did drain the rad. thining about going out there one more time to spin the fan.

Got to drain half of the oil out. allready drained one half. Annd. Gotta put new plugs in. And reset the timing. hehe. And tighten fan shroud screws.

                              Thanks agine!

If it was leaking at the bypass hose, and you tightened it up and that took care of the leak, you have nothing to fear.

And why do you want to drain just half the oil? Just change the whole mess.
