Yes, so I bought my Edelbrock 5.0 Performer RPM II manifold and got it last week and I have a major problem. My manifold cannot be turned so the inlet faces the driver's fender well for my electronic/throttle connections and cold air intake. I should have just bought a gt-40 upper and lower so I could bolt the upper on backwards, but I didn't. Has anyone else encountered this problem or has anyone just said F*CK it and left the manifold to the passenger side during their HO conversion or build? If so, I need to know which brackets, cables, etc. I need to make it function correctly.

If it will not physically bolt up toward the driver side, you will need to get Mustang style cables and appropriate mounting brackets for throttle and TV, plus various hoses will need to be changed to Stang style. You will also most likely have to modify the wiring so the IAC, TPS, and EGR [If you still have it] reach and connect up correctly.sigpic

I thought the Eddy intake is what the Typhoon intake was cloned from, unless thats a different Eddy intake. I know those Typhoons will spin backward.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).

Yeah, I'm thinking I'll just convert the cables and whatnot. I figure then I can buy the throttle body I want and just bolt it up. The airflow is matched fairly well, 1500-6500, not to worry. Everyone will have something to smile about when Im finished in late spring. I'm certainly not much of a shit talker, but lets just say I'll give bigbluetank something to cry about...

well, if it's gonna be some stupid quick track car, start hacking and use the stang stuff. Get mustang accessories also, it'll make everything much easier and you'll have less problems in the longrun with havign to buy a $150 ASP underdrive for a vic.Builder/Owner of Badass Panther Wagons

The Performer RPM II is a pretty big intake, very similar to the TFS-R I have on my Capri......
But my Capri weighs 2,800lbs........ has a big-ass cam, 5spd, long-tubes and the ability to zing to 7K.........
Not quite sure how that will behave in a Panther, but I guess you won't know until you try1989 Town Car Cartier: 3G Alt. Reversed intake is going to cause problems with the AC, though I assume if its a track car, that stuff has been removed.86 Lincoln Town Car (Galactica).
