Autolite Platinums. I get them for less than $2 a piece from my parts guy, and I haven't had any problems. I change them pretty frequently though, probably once a year... just because I'm like that.

I thought I remembered someone saying in a thread that the Bosch platinums seem to only do alright in stuff like Chryslers? I'm gonna ditch them, would Motorcraft or Autolite be best?
+4's are more for 6 and 4 cylinder cars... 8's don't seem to run as good with them. They run great with +2's though for some reason.

The +4's are great plugs for Chryslers, no doubt about that. My friend's Cirrus is proof of this. We were having trouble getting his car to run like it was suposed to, even put new Autolite Plats in... upgraded to the +4's, and that thing ran like a scolded dog.

Thanks for the info, I was getting nervous because I did some thread and general google searches on the +4's and a couple of Mustang (5.0 & 4.6) people were complaining about the tips breaking off and causing damage. I dunno how likely that'd be, but I'd rather go with a set of Motorcrafts to see if the hesitation goes away. Not sure whether copper or platinum would be best in that case. My car despises stop & go traffic and starts to stumble and I don't think the brake booster is leaking. My newer Grand Am (3400) has NGK Iridiums which seem alright.

those multi-electrode plugs were around back in the 50s, and they've been used in airplanes for ages. No idea if they work better, but I'm inclined to stick with what works well. I've run Autoltite 25s, and AP25 (the platinum) and both did fine. I used to run Bosch Super plugs in my Beetle, nothing else ran right. My S10 ran kind of bleh on the Bosch Plats, runs fine on cheap Autolite plugs. I seem to get better and more consistent results out of cheap basic spark plugs, so I run them. My wallet likes them too.

this was a while ago. post is here if you really want to read it. not to stick my foot in my mouth or anything, but i should say there was not conclusive evidence that the spark plug was to blame for this. http://www.grandmarq.net/vb/showthread.php?t=13912
