    5.8L Intake

    Y'all,

What do you think of this type intake on one of ours? I already have one that I started messing with and it's cleaning up really nice with the twin 56mm throtle bodies... it could really polish up and look great... not to mention unique.

The block is going to be sent out to be bored .040 over in a few weeks. I'm starting to think I'll just port the E-7's I already have, get a decent cam, and BAM I'm in... I would just have to decide if I wanted it to stick through the hood or get a cowl made. Or am I just off my rocker and should just go carbed?

Comments welcome, but be kind its my first attempt at a motor build!

Who wants to help me rebuild a 351 and stick it in the Merc? On hold a little longr...

it would probably work, but you will need to build a cowl hood

I never liked the F series intakes, they seemed to be of poor design. I don't know if it will be worth the effort to do all that and not get much power out of it. And a cowl hood would look nice, I've got a PhotoShop of a 2" cowl hood on my Vic (it's on my CarDomain page), you can hardly tell.

If you want a cheap 5.8 FI intake, get a boat iron lower $100 and use an Explorer upper.
