Well, I pulled the upper and the valve covers. The post run ticking and the valve tap may be one in the same. With the covers off, after i trun the motor with the starter I pinpointed the ticking to the rockers. It feels like theres something tapping on the other end of the pushrods, or valve stems. I checked all the rockers are tight. The pushrods have no slop in them. The motor isn't turning, so the cam is stationary. I believe this leaves two things, My valves are sticking, or the lifters are sticking. I have never heard of anything like this, this is exactly my kind of fucking luck. If its lifters, fine, I'll pull the manifolds and pushrods and replace them. If its the valves, I swear I'm going to fuckin lose it. I have no idea where to go from here to narrow it down. It will run untill it gets warm then it wants to quit.
Should I seafoam it and hope for the best?
Should I just pull the whole damn thing down and replace the lifters and get a valve job?
Right now I'm about to just say fuck it. I'm starting to think somebody ripped me off and sold me heads with some issues. :cuss:
