    Finally doing the T5 swap :-)

    Hey im looking for a good T5 to put in my 89 Gm. Im eventually gonna have around 300 hp to the wheels and I want something that's going to hold up. Found this on ebay, what do ya guys think???

    yeah, 4 cylinder transmissions are the best...


    Look for V8 transmissions. They are a little stronger and you won't need a special pilot bearing.

      Don't bother.... save your pennies for a stronger V8 unit...

          Even a V8 one is going to be marginal at that sort of power levels in a heavy car. Can't beat on it or you'll blow it apart. If you really want something tough, a Tremec will hold up very nicely.

            Ok, thank you so much. I got my eye on a tremec and a ford racing T5. I will keep you guys updated on what I decide.
