Took the car out last night

Well I took the car out for the first time last night.

It had great oil pressure, water temp stayed cool, and the trans gauge hardly even moved, so all that is great.

The problem I am having is that it would only turn up 4,100 and after that it would start running rough and acting like it was breaking down.

I am possitive the problem is the computer, so I plan on taking that out and replacing it with a different one.

Wich computer would work best? I need one with an aggresive stock tune(stock cant be sent out and re-worked). I would like for it to not have a rev limiter or to be like a mustang one and pull till 6250.

I know in the H.O. conversion it says use either a Mark 7 or 86-88 mustang computer.

What computer options did those cars have? Wich computer should I be looking for what model number?

The one I have in it now is a A9L wich is MAF thats why its running like shit. But the A9L is an aggresive stock comp that alows the car to go to 6250... I need something like that for it but for speed density.

Let me know what you can come up with so I can get the car ready to go for the next race.....

all the ECM's have a fuel cut at 6250. The MK7 has the same tune as an HO. There really arent any really aggressive stock tunes.

Keep them in there. I had them in my stang with the stock comp and they worked fine.

24# will not run for shit with a Mark VII ECM. You need 19#. They also don't run for shit with an A9L unless you have a tune or a MAF calibrated to use them.

fuel pump is fine as long as its not some really huge one. I run a 155 lph in mine. Going way too big just overwhelms the stock fuel lines. They're only 5/16"
