I'm thinking maybe the taller deck height of the 351 might affect the length of the distributor? Maybe not, but it doesn't say it fits a 351, assuming that is still what you are going to use.

well i decided to stick with the 302. i will just bolt on a 50hp nitrous fogger for a little extra power when needed. i have had it laying around and have been waiting to use it. i am doing a carb swap though.

the distance from the cam to the distibutor mount is the same from a 302 to a 351. the difference is that the 351 oil pump uses a 5/16" drive shaft, a 302 oil pump uses a 1/4" shaft.

I thought someone else would know for sure. Thank you for the clarification.

Really? I always used a 5/16" socket to prime my motors. And I've never had a 351W
