    e7sf-12a650-u1a

    what dose this ecu come out of a 87 town car or crown vic.also what i would like to know is since it has the J3 port is the ecu able to be tuned

    it could have came from either a crown vic or a town car.. i believe it was used in both.

    even if you could, why would you want to?

        the "S" in the third position is normally used for thunderbird parts. "A" is Panthers, "T" is for the trucks

            DU is the catch code you want, but I can find no listing for that. Vic and Towncar ECMs are the same, if thats what it came from, nether are an HO powered car.

            All ECMs have the J3 port as far as I know, but not all of them can be tuned. Or, its quite probably a case of all of them can be tuned, but software to do so hasn't been developed for all ECMs. There are a huge number of them that absolutely nobody cares about, so probably no time has been spent on them. The only ones anyone bothers with are the ones in HO or factory high performance vehicles, and maybe some trucks.
