    Mark 7 Engine codes

    KOEO
    67 neutral drive switch or gear switch or pressure switch or AC something

    32 egr valve position sensor or pressure feedback egr sensor. egr not opening or closing

    KOER
    12 cannot raise speed above normal idle. Is there a solenoid for that?

    gonna pull the egr and check it's condition.

    Sounds like an egr valve issue and the idle bypass solenoid has an issue

      Where's this?

      Is an egr & sensor from my CFI the same? Swap to test?

        egr valve and sensor probably the same on the CFI car. That specific code sounds more like vacuum plumbing issues though. If its not getting any vacuum, it can't open. Check the green line for cracks and that rubber connector doodad for leaks. I think the EGR solenoid is over on the passenger fender, behind the strut tower, kind of crammed in the corner where you can't see it.

        Code 12 is probably the IAC, film canister looking thing opposite the EGR valve. Clean with carb cleaner and see if it starts working.

        67 probably means the climate controls were switched on when you checked for codes. Not important.

          Thanks, I will try to look into those tonight

          Does the IAC have a gasket that will need replaced if I pull it off?

            you can usually reuse the gasket

            1986 lincoln towncar signature series. 5.0 HO with thumper performance ported e7 heads, 1.7 roller rockers, warm air intake, 65mm throttle body, 1/2" intake spacer, ported intakes, 3.73 rear with trac lock, 98-02 front brake conversion, 92-97 rear disc conversion, 1" rear swaybar, 1 3/16" front swaybar, 16" wheels and tires, loud ass stereo system, badass cb, best time to date 15.94 at 87 mph. lots of mods in the works 221.8 rwhp 278 rwt
            2006 Lincoln Town Car Signature. Stock for now

                11 mpg? thats awful. Sounds like vacuum leakage if I had to guess.
