    Thought you were under that impression actually. I see your mouth moving, but I no understand the words that come outta you mouth.

    And yes, 84-85 CFI was indeed TFI fired. 1983 CFI was a completely different animal, and used Duraspark and a crankshaft trigger.

      well fellas,

      i installed the correct distributer gear but now I hear a faint clicking sound coming from the distributer area... Hope I didn't miss alighn the teeth.

      I set her to the correct timing, no pre-igition under load or pinging

      But....

      since I replaced the distributer I seem to have lost third gear... I looked at the dip stick and see that the fluid level is pretty high up the stick (while in idle)... maybe to much lucus?

      any thoughts to my prediciment?
