    cleaning fuel injectors

is there a product to clean the fuel injectors while in the car, just to tap into the test port and run off that

I'm not sure, but I do know that you can buy a bottle of fuel injector cleaner and pour into the gas tank on a fill up.

You can also buy a bottle of fuel injector cleaner, pour it down the drain of your kitchen sink, and it will have approximately the same effect.

The best way to clean your injectors is to remove them and have a place that has the equipment for cleaning them properly do it for you. I'm all for doing stuff yourself, believe me, but the "Wonder" products really are just going to end up being a waste of money.

I followed this article to clean my 19lbers. You can't really clean them on the car that well.

I actually used a product....4 years or more ago....that tapped into the fuel line or something and was used to run the car. It was a can (that was probably 10+ years old my dad had lying around) that had some fuel cleaning agent and when the can was empty the car died because it was not getting anymore fuel. I have no idea what it was but I thought it was pretty cool.

Could have been..not really sure. My dad worked for Ford for many years and it may have been a product that he had on a shelf forever? The hose..I have not a clue either.

Looks like you can buy the hose:

There are setups that hook up to the fuel rail and pump concentrated cleaner through. For all the trouble though, I'd probably consider new or rebuilt injectors. They'd probably cost you about what a good injector cleaning would cost and you would know what you had, especially if you got a set of injectors that were rebuilt and flow matched from a company that specializes in that sort of thing.
